Shower Door Thresholds

Shower door thresholds are installed along the bottom edge of a shower entrance to create a defined barrier between the wet area and the surrounding floor. They are commonly used with bottom seals or sweeps to help direct water back into the enclosure.

Different threshold profiles are available for hinged and other shower door layouts. Profile height, width and installation position should be selected according to the door clearance, floor condition and sealing arrangement.

Threshold Profiles and Door Seals

A threshold should be considered together with the bottom door seal rather than selected as an isolated component. The seal must be able to pass over or close against the threshold without causing excessive friction.

Before installation, check the gap beneath the glass, seal shape, door swing and required water-control direction.
