Aluminum U-Channels for Shower Glass

Aluminum U-channels provide a continuous mounting profile for securing the edge of a fixed glass panel to a wall, floor or shower tray. Compared with individual glass clamps, the channel supports a longer section of the glass edge and creates a clean, linear installation.

Different channel dimensions are available for different glass thicknesses and enclosure designs. The internal width, profile depth, fixing method and required clearance should be confirmed before glass fabrication and installation.

Wall and Floor Installation

U-channels can be installed vertically along a wall or horizontally along the base of a fixed glass panel, depending on the shower enclosure layout.

The channel size should match the glass thickness while allowing for the intended setting material, gasket or installation method. Profile dimensions should therefore be checked from the individual product specification rather than assumed from the glass thickness alone.

U-Channels vs. Glass Clamps
