Shower Support Bars
MAXGO shower support bars are used to stabilize fixed glass panels in frameless shower enclosures by connecting the glass to a wall, ceiling or other supporting point. Different bar lengths, profiles and mounting configurations are available for a variety of shower screen and enclosure layouts.
The correct support bar should be selected according to the glass panel dimensions, mounting position, available fixing surface and required installation angle. Bar length, tube dimensions and connection details vary by model, so the individual technical drawing should be checked before installation.
Support for Fixed Glass Panels
Fixed shower glass can require additional stabilization, especially where the panel has limited support from surrounding profiles or hardware.
A support bar provides an additional connection between the glass and the building structure, helping maintain the intended position of the panel. The actual support arrangement should be planned as part of the complete enclosure rather than selecting the bar only by appearance.
Straight and Angled Support Bar Configurations
Support bars are available for different installation layouts.
Straight designs may connect the glass directly to an opposite wall or structural point, while angled configurations can be used where the glass and mounting surface are positioned differently.
The required angle and connection method should be confirmed according to the enclosure geometry.
Wall, Ceiling and Glass Connections
Depending on the system, a shower support bar may connect:
- glass to wall
- glass to ceiling
- glass to another structural fitting
The corresponding connectors should match the support bar diameter or profile and the required mounting angle.
For individual connectors and mounting fittings, see our Support Bar Brackets range.
Lengths, Profiles and Finishes
Support bars are available in different lengths and profiles depending on the model. Selected designs may also be cut or adapted according to the enclosure dimensions.
Finish options vary by product and may include polished chrome, brushed finishes, matte black, gold and other decorative surfaces.
When support bars are combined with hinges, handles and aluminum profiles made from different base materials, slight differences in finish color and texture can occur.
Choosing the Correct Shower Support Bar
Before ordering, confirm:
- glass panel dimensions
- glass thickness
- bar length
- bar profile or diameter
- mounting position
- wall or ceiling connection
- required installation angle
- compatible brackets and connectors
- required finish
The individual product drawing should be used as the final reference before installation.
OEM and Technical Support
MAXGO supports shower enclosure manufacturers, glass companies and distributors with support bar selection, technical drawings and OEM/ODM requirements.
Custom lengths, mounting arrangements, brackets and finishes can be reviewed according to the enclosure design and project requirements.
