Heavy Duty Shower Door Hinges
MAXGO heavy duty shower door hinges are designed for frameless glass doors that require a stronger hinge specification than standard shower applications. The SHH series includes wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass configurations in different opening angles, plate styles and hinge profiles.
A heavy duty hinge should not be selected by size or appearance alone. Door dimensions, glass thickness, total door weight, hinge quantity, mounting position and glass cut-out all need to be checked against the specifications of the individual model before the glass is fabricated.
Wall-to-Glass Heavy Duty Hinges
Wall-to-glass models mount the moving glass door directly to the wall or supporting structure. Depending on the hinge design, different back plate configurations are available to suit the installation condition.
For larger frameless doors, correct wall fixing and accurate glass preparation are especially important. The hinge drawing should be confirmed together with the door dimensions before production.
Glass-to-Glass Heavy Duty Hinges
Glass-to-glass heavy duty hinges connect the moving door to a fixed glass panel. The range includes designs for common 90°, 135° and 180° shower enclosure layouts.
The required angle should be selected according to the actual enclosure geometry. Glass thickness, panel dimensions and the load carried by the fixed glass should also be considered as part of the complete installation.
Brass Construction and Finish Options
The SHH range mainly includes solid brass hinge designs intended for demanding frameless shower door applications. Available finishes vary by model and may include polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and satin brass.
Because finish availability and technical specifications can differ between models, the individual product page and drawing should be checked before ordering.
Selecting the Correct Heavy Duty Glass Hinge
Heavy duty glass door hinges are commonly considered where the door is larger, heavier or requires a more substantial hinge body than a standard-duty installation. For lighter or more conventional frameless shower door applications, see our Standard Duty Shower Door Hinges range.
The correct model should be selected from the actual application data rather than using a general load rating for the entire series. If the project specification is unclear, MAXGO can review the door size, glass thickness, opening arrangement and required finish before the glass cut-out is finalized.
OEM and Project Support
MAXGO works with shower enclosure manufacturers, glass companies, distributors and project suppliers on heavy duty shower hinge selection and OEM/ODM requirements. Technical drawings, finish options and model matching can be provided for new enclosure designs or replacement projects.
